About the Project
We're building a scalable AI inference platform that lets businesses access, deploy, and manage AI models through a unified API. The project involves developing reliable backend services for account management, API access, usage tracking, billing, and integrations with model-serving infrastructure across cloud and customer-managed environments.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend services and REST APIs using TypeScript and Node.js.
- Develop features for authentication, authorization, organizations, projects, and API key management.
- Design PostgreSQL schemas, write migrations, and optimize database queries.
- Integrate usage tracking, billing systems, webhooks, and external APIs.
- Build background jobs with reliable retry, error-handling, and duplicate-event protection.
- Use caching and message queues where appropriate.
- Write automated tests, troubleshoot production issues, and improve system reliability.
- Collaborate with frontend, product, infrastructure, and AI engineering teams to deliver features from requirements through production.
- Participate in code reviews, document technical decisions, and maintain clean, readable code.

- Understanding of asynchronous programming, error handling, and external API integrations.
- Experience implementing authentication, authorization, and secure credential management.
- Ability to write automated tests and troubleshoot production issues.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to turn product requirements into working software.
